Sound Voltex 5 - Vivid Wave has players pressing buttons and turning dials in time with the approaching icons crossing the bottom line in order to score points. It features a new range of songs from the previous editions, as well as new features. Sound Voltex 5 - Vivid Wave is the fifth edition in the franchise, with its themes focusing on concerts, performance and the colour magenta. The screen layout and starting process have been simplified for this edition, making it user-friendly and perfect for newcomers to the franchise.
Game Modes:
- NORMAL - the standard game mode. Light and Standard Starts are available.
- FRIEND - local matching mode.
- PARADISE - continuous mix mode. See below for more details.
- BLASTER - allows unlocking of BLASTER GATE charts and both Ω Dimension and HEXA DIVER tracks without BLASTER ENERGY. Requires PASELI
- SKILL ANALYZER - now made as a separate mode for the first time since GRAVITY WARS.
- PREMIUM TIME - a time-based session mode, functioning similarly to beatmania IIDX's PREMIUM FREE mode.
Features:
- A new selection menu has been added: MY ROOM. In this menu screen, players can change their CREW and Appeal Card avatars or use the GENERATOR to purchase them.
- A new feature, AUTOMATION PARADISE, has been added. When playing PARADISE mode, the final track is transformed into a medley of three or four songs picked by the player.
- In-game currency is called "PCB", replacing BLOCKS and PACKETS.
- Speed and judgement offset can now be changed at the song selection menu.
- You can now change the colors of the key beams. Available colors are purple, pink, green, and yellow.
- The NEMSYS crew characters that appear in the results screen are now animated using Live2D (except for photographed characters)
