The UFO Catcher 9 Second - Crane Machine is an arcade prize redemption game developed by Sega Corporation. As the latest iteration of Sega's popular UFO Catcher crane games, it features several improvements, including the removal of the front pillar and the addition of a transparentiglass backing panel. These enhancements allow prizes to be viewed from all angles and give operators greater flexibility in placing the machine. Additionally, the playfield is divided into sections, each with individually adjustable heights.
The UFO Catcher 9 Second - Crane Machine is also the first UFO Catcher to incorporate LCD touchscreens on the control panel. These screens display the remaining time, offer tips for playing the game, and can temporarily "hold" the machine for a player while they exchange money.
