Raiden IV seamlessly blends classic game play and new graphics and ideas into one package. This version features new enemies, weapons and CG cut scenes.
Raiden is a jet shoot them up, where the player can embark on the missions solo or as a pair with a friend. When the players starts it has only standard weapons, however when some enemies are destroyed. They may drop power ups, bombs or nothing.
The power ups are in the shape of coloured crystals, each colour represents a weapon group. If the player continues to collect the same colour their weapons increases in power. The player is face with many enemies and powerful stages bosses. Bombs can be used to get players out of tight spots or to inflict great damages, but these are in short supply.
This game follows up from Raiden 3 made in 2005 and is once again in co-operation with Taito.
